Braving rough roads and mountain passes, a small group of paddlers arrived early at Nahmint Lake to find the place in a thick fog. The timing was perfect as it began to lift upon our arrival, and ended up being a glorious warm day in bright sunshine. Although the lake can be very windy, it was calm and serene all day... nary a ripple. We enjoyed lunch at the beach at Blacky's Cabin, and then managed to paddle about half way down the lake and back. In and out, there was hardly any traffic either public or industrial. All in all, a great time.
