July 2 Deep Bay to Chrome Island and Denman Island

 Walter Ilenseer led seven PGOSA Paddlers on a paddle from Deep Bay to the Chrome Island Lighthouse and Denman Island.

 It was a slow start due to windy conditions first thing.

 Coffee at Magnolia Court in Bowser turned out to be a good idea.

 

The wind eased off and we were able to launch an hour or so later. 

 

We had beautiful conditions and it was fabulous to see the lighthouse close up.

 

We stopped for lunch on Denman Island 

 

before returning to Deep Bay 

 

 

We paddled approximately 14 km and were quite tired by the time we returned to Deep Bay.
